Directions to Caernarvon
Track Ranger Headquarters

Starting at the Wilpena
turn off on the Hawker to Blinman Road, travel toward
Blinman 16.8kms past the Oraparinna Airstrip and turn
right onto the Wirrealpa / Martins Well Road. (Dirt
Road)

The Distance from this
turning point to the Caernarvon Track entry sign is
25kms.

Travel 20.6kms to the
first cattle grid - you are now entering The Bunkers
Conservation Reserve.

Travel 3.5kms to the
second cattle grid at the 24km mark.

Travel a further 1.0kms
(at the 25km mark), turn right at the Caernarvon Track
sign.

Follow the track and
arrows to the front gate.

Once at the front gate,
open gate and let yourself in. Please close and latch
the gate behind you.

Head South and follow the
signs on the track approx 4.5km to the Reserve
Headquarters and camping area, on the right hand side
past the Yellowfoot sign.

Track Tour Guide will be provided for each vehicle

All rubbish is to be
removed from the Reserve as there is no rubbish disposal
on site

Firearms are strictly
prohibited on the Reserve.

Please be at our Rangers
Headquarters between 9.00am and 10.00am if doing the
Caernarvon Track.

cash only with correct money.

Caernarvon Track Fee is
$60 per vehicle up to six people

Fires are prohibited on
The Bunkers Conservation Reserve

Fire wood collection is
strictly prohibited on the Reserve

Camping on The Bunkers Conservation Reserve

Camp fees are $20 for
first 2 persons per vehicle per night

Children under 12 years
of age are free

Extra person 12 years and
over are $5 per person per night

Please light fires in the
fire rings, donkey boilers and pot belly stove only at
camp

Please bring your own

Payments/Refunds Policy
A deposit of $20 per vehicle is required upon booking and if
camping a further $20 per vehicle is required.
Full payment for the booking is required 14 days prior to
date of booking.
Refunds will only be given if cancellation is provided 14
days prior to booking date.
If cancellation is received prior to the 14 days a full
refund will be provided minus a $10 cancellation fee.
If booking under 14 days Full payment is required upon
booking for both the Tour and Camping. |
